Critical raw water pumps at the Trinity River Plant have experienced a mechanical failure. To preserve essential water supplies for indoor domestic use, sanitation, and local fire protection, a total ban on all outdoor irrigation is in effect starting today, August 11th, and will remain in place until further notice.

The following water uses are completely banned under this emergency order.

· Hardscape Cleaning: No washing of sidewalks, driveways, patios, or parking lots with water.
· Vehicle Washing: No washing of cars, trucks, trailers, or boats at home.
· Water Features: No filling or operating of decorative fountains, ponds, or residential swimming pools.
INDOOR WATER SAFETY AND USAGE
· Water is Safe to Drink: The water system remains under positive pressure and the water is completely safe to drink. No boil water advisory is in place.
· Indoor Conservation Requested: Residents are strongly urged to limit indoor water use by running only full loads of laundry or dishes and shortening showers.
ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTIES
District personnel are actively monitoring system demands. Violations of this emergency mandate will result in immediate progressive enforcement, including official warnings, administrative fines, and potential disconnection of water service for repeat offenses.
The District is working around the clock to secure necessary parts and complete repairs at the Trinity River Plant. WCSD will notify the public immediately via local media, our website, and community channels as soon as the pumps are operational and restrictions can be lifted.
